Picking the right colour for your installed shelter can be one of the most impactful decisions you make.
From giving off the right first impression, to making the storage shelter easily visible, or matching with the existing theme onsite.
There are a number of factors to consider if we want to get the colour of your purchase right for you.
The Shelter Expert lists a number of colours which are available on all of their cycle shelters as standard.
Looking at the following image we can see 26 colours available for selection, great range of colours on offer.
Five different shades of Blue & Green, Four shades of Red, and Eight shades ranging from Jet black to Pure White,
with all the greys in between. But which is the best for you? Well, that will often depend on the specific
goals you are trying to achieve with your cycle store.
Yellow
If your shelters is tucked into a back corner and you often find one or two bikes haphazardly secured to various fences
& posts, you would see the most benefits if your shelter was purchased in Yellow,
as multiple studies have shown that Yellow is the colour that the human eye can most easily identify
Blue
Now imagine that your cycle shelter or school canopy is placed in a high traffic area,
or in a location where people tend to spend extended periods of time socialising and relaxing.
In this situation a blue shelter would likely suit the situation, as blue is commonly used on social media sites to reduce eyestrain.
Alternatively, because blue is a relatively popular colour, a blue shelter wouldn’t look out of place on many sites.
Red
The colour Red is best represented in areas of physical exercise or emotional exertion – placing a red coloured shelter by the P.E blocks
or out in the recreation field would be the most suited location for the colour, but we must make sure the shelters are still fit
for their original purpose as a cycle shelter.
Green & Brown
The colour Green immediately reminds us of a more natural environment, so its no surprise that these shelters should belong alongside the trees and the leaves.
Offering users the opportunity to store their bikes or provide rain cover as they enjoy their surroundings.
Shades of Black & White
Even with all the shelter colour options listed above, you may still be struggling to find a reasonable
colour for the shelter & location that you’ve picked out. In which case, we would recommend a black/white shelter.
With the vibrant colours stripped away were left with a tone of colour that takes itself much more seriously
With so many colours available to choose from we hope this quick guide will have been useful to you whether
your on-site shelter will be front and centre, or tucked into a back corner, we offer a solution to everyone’s needs!
