Enquiry
In 2022 we were contacted by the headteacher at Woolenwick Junior to discuss the possible refurbishment of an existing cycle shelter they’ve had on site for a number of years.
The head teacher, Mr. Richard Plant, kindly provided us with several images of the existing unit, aiming to show the location & condition of the existing infrastructure. The provision of these images allowed us to put forward our price without including any additional costs for a site survey.
After seeing the shelter for the first time, we noted how the Cycle Shelter at Woolenwick Junior was not one from our product range. Fortunately over 3 decades of industry knowledge allowed us to proceed with the project in full confidence.
Requirements
The shelter required several new sheets, Mr. Plant also made us aware of the recent increase in scooter usage at his school, and his desire to accommodate his students if possible.
After some short discussions at the office to put a plan together, we were able to provide a full fixed price quotation for the replacement of 12No. Pet-G Sheets cut to size, a new 16 capacity cycle rack redesigned with a height more appropriate for the age group, and a brand new 10 capacity scooter rack with individual locking points for each scooter.
Installation
Pricing up the job on the same day as the initial enquiry, this allowed the school to take advantage of our generous ‘Schools only’ payment terms. (monies to follow month end plus 30 days after completion of the installation). Within 4 weeks of the order being placed, our team was at the site and replacing the sheeting & cycle racks, giving the shelter a much needed face-lift & breathing new life into the surrounding area.
